As time moves forward, technology evolves with it as well. This means that every 5-6 years a new and better era of gaming consoles and games will emerge. For this to happen console developers must vastly improve both software and hardware. Upgrading these aspects is a necessity that must be done to allow game programmers the ability to further improve aspects of games. By improving hardware and software, programmers are able to evolve many different aspects of games. 

A significant speculation of the next phase of gaming evolution is towards virtual reality. Virtual reality of gaming is quickly arriving, with headsets rising in both quality and quantity. Several different companies are currently developing it. The Oculus rift, Sony, Microsoft and more have seen the growing demand and curiosity of society and gamers. 


With never ending improvements, games and gamers will experience drastic changes that will always look to significantly improve gaming culture.
